    1935 Bren film with sound

    Worth watching (and listening) 30th Sept 1935 at Aldershot.

    Nice to see the leather magazine bandoleers and packsadlery magazine carrier.Also the Bren/ZGB stowed in the gun bucket without the barrel attached.
    The officer should be bloody shot though for calling a magazine a 'clip' !

    Aldershot, Englandicon: Gen. view mounted soldiers towards & halting. Cu. of soldier on horse taking machine gun out of holster. Semi view soldiers rushing past camera with gun. Semi back view soldiers lying on ground firing machine gun. Semi view of 2 men lying on ground with machine gun, officer explains gun. Cu. soldier holding machine gun & officer explaining puts clip into gun, Semi view machine gun, another soldier arrives with machine gun mounted on tripot. Cu. of clip firing. Shot of 2 tommies climing over ditches soldier, slips & drops machine gun into muddy water. Long view soldier with gun on ground firing

    Sound Effects: Officer explains machine gun. Noise of machine gun firing. Officers says that it only weight 21 lbs and fires 480 rounds a minute.
