A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I asked about it a few days ago, https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=47454&page=31 and messaged the seller. His response was prompt and cordial. He stated,
"This rifle was part of a shipment of M85s imported by Navy Arms, and was imported by them in the condition you see here.* *It came with the Schmidt&Bender scope that is on it now.* It was scored from an employee of Navy Arms… All marks on the rifle are shown in the pictures…* And that's all we know on this particular unit."

At some point it appears to have been restocked.

To be honest that is about right £8,000+, bearing in mind it had the chest etc with it. Did anybody on this site manage to acquire this fine rifle?

I was going to make a run at it but it quickly climbed higher than I felt comfortable going. Looks like an excellent example!!
