Thread: S'G' 3237965, rear sight, stake marks?

    S'G' 3237965, rear sight, stake marks?

    Coulld S'G' 3237965, reciever have flip sight, BIP, and RP/S, where 2 tiny punch marks were used, unlike slit type stake marks, these are tiny punches?
    I remember something in a thread about that?

    Since Saginaw Steering Gear took over the cancelled contract from IP, it would seem very possible that a IP flip sight could be found on a S'G' carbine.
    Original carbines have been documented with both the chisel and very small punch mark type staking.

    if it was needed to fill a gap in a collection of one OF every as maunufactured M1icon Carbine collection, i'd pick it up or if it upgrades and existing rifle of the same make JMHO
