While we beat the Rock-olas to death here is one more to pick apart
I traded with a friend for this about a year ago, he quit collecting carbines before most of us started. I admit the only thing I did was replace the SH-B handguard with the RMC shown that I now think is fake. Let me know what you guys think of it. All parts are Rock-Ola coded. The trigger, hammer, bolt and safety appear to be blued. I just kinda put it in the safe and never thought twice about it. Rock-Ola pictures by wfo87 - Photobucket

Well the M and R look OK, it just looks too nice. The wood grain on mine looks too tight and smooth maybe I am just being anal.

Curt,
Your hand guard is original finish. grain all choked up with grime and carbon..etc.
The RMC Hg's I showed have been refinished.
This Q-RMC HG is original finish...see how the grain is filled...dirt, oil, ..etc.
Here's the marking that RMC put on Q-RMC hand guards.
Look how much different the M is.....
This is also a Type I.
Late here....
Good Night

Maybe better than I thought, how did the rest of the gun look? I was nervous about the band and safety.

Thanks, my buddy told he thought it was a pretty straight gun, it was the last carbine he had kept from his collecting days.
