    Blonde No.4 Mk.II

    Armiusate.it :: Reggio Emilia : Armi lunghe : Enfield n°4mk2 uf 55 .303 British

    What do you think about this rifle? It's marked UF 55. Is it woth to buy ? Assume that here in Italyicon there are plenty of No.4 mk I or I* due to the fact tha Enfield was the Navy service rifle for over 30 years, but only a few Mk.II..

    Better check it a bit more works out to $1,100.oo au for us here in Aus looks can be deceiving but looking at what pics are there I would buy it but on one proviso you can have it checked out by a completly unbiased gunsmith seperate from the stores appraisal many a lemon has been brought looking like a rose.

    Looks like a typical 1950s Mk.2
    Common enough here, but if it's rare in Italyicon then, why not?

    I own one these uf 55 irish contratct enfields, they are amazingly good looking rifles, and came unissued into states in early 90,s , mine was wrapped in goat wrap and cosmolineicon and after about 5 yrs i ended up breaking down and unwrapping it and scoping her for long range shooting, shoots awesome, they are bringing premium prices unwrapped still in goat wrap here in states and across globe,i have seen them go on GB'S for 1200.00 and up as is unwrapped, you find one still in wrapper could bring more depending on the collector, the price is about right if you wish to own a mint version of a great old battle horse ,deff buy it , they are easy to resell if you need to.

    not a problem my friend , since we are discussing the MK4 no2's HERE IS THE ONE I OWN , DEADLY ACCURATE FOR WHAT IT IS , BORE WAS NEVER FIRED MORE THAN TO TestT IT @ factory BEFORE I ENDED UP WITH 50 yrs after it was wrapped and sealed, these are very nice enfields and if you can afford 1 a great investment for any milsurp collector. The recoil pad is only to make up for my very long arms and scope clearance , german made vintage scope ,fultons of bisley scope mount , pricey scope mounts but rock solid once installed and does not alter rifle in any way. I would most deff buy 1 i did not allready have 1 ,best looking enfields out there and very accurate as issued no changes need be made.I am getting sub 1.75 inch 5 shot groups at 150 meters, and have had some as small as 2.68 inches @ 600 meters with my handloads and sniper grade milsurp ammo..Thats close enough for sniper grade to me for an out of the wrapping 60 yr old enfield with 0 alterations besides the scope and mount, fultons is deff the best mount to buy if not get the accumounts it pretty close to same thing just a tad shorter rail.

    MOST times i use 4895 or varget, right now i was having probs getting 4895 and have been useing 4064 imr, i like the 150 to 170 gr bullets, sierra or speer hpbt,s, wlr primers, i was able to score 3 lbs of imr 4895 at cabelas last week so i will go back to that till i run out again.being bolt action any powders with the close burn rate of varget and 4895 will work for it.,ie,rl-15-4064,etc.best to stay in the same or close as possible burn rate of the aforementioned powders will work , my fave is the varget.4064 does work well as does ram shot big game, all pretty much have same burn rate. Thanx for the comps she is a beauty have to agree.I could never part with her.

    Price seems reasonable considering the condition.
