British 1892 Secret Service medal
I have on of my Great Grand father old medals, it says Secret Service 1892. It belonged to Major Victor Lemuex Shuldham. I've never seen anything quite like it. Would you fellas know where I should be looking? He was active in both Boar wars and India. He is in a long line of the dreaded, stubborn blue bloods that been fighting folks like us for centuries. I never met him, but, did meet his son, reel yank hating butwipe that wanted nothing to do with us yank children, Kinda like my mom-SDH

Are you sure it says "Secret Service"? I'm familar with the "Long Service Medal". Got pics (front and back) you can post?
Here's a good place to start:
British campaign medals
I used to collect British military medals back in the 60's and 70's before the fakers took over, so I have several reference books I can look up for you given more information. Is it impressed with his name on the rim of the medal?
