picked up for a buck each i thought worth preserving. would be nice to have one of the rifles.

Strange that the rifles are only 248 apart by serial number. Would love to find one of those books, I was in the M.C. at that time period and remember using that book.
As I recall, during that time frame we fired 200 yards - offhand slow fire and sitting rapid fire
300 yards - sitting slow fire and Kneeling slow fire
500 yards - prone slow fire
I think to qualify marksman 190 - 200
sharpshooter 201 - 219
expert 220 - 250
