Went to a gun show, spent a bunch, came away empty-handed
Well, sort of. There were two Springfields and an H&R all in the 2 mil range. I plunked down my dough for a pistol for my son. I was amazed: The show occupied twice the square footage it did last time and, possibly as a result, appeared very casual. There weren't the rushes for ammo or mags the previous scares had generated. Frankly, there was plenty of space, plenty of everything.

It's good to hear that things have become stable at gun shows. I don't go to them much, if ever, myself, so I wouldn't have known.

I would have been tempted to get a H&R in the 2 mil. range.

Sorry about that. I think the H&R was in the 5 mil range.

I like to go to gun shows. Where else can you see firearms, ammo and related products all under one roof for such a modest entry fee?

Attended the Wanenmacher gun show in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 14-15 Nov. 4000 tables/11 acres inside. Saw M1 Garands priced all over the board. Rough rack grades for 750.00 up to a correct IHC gap letter for 2995.00 and everything in between. Parts for the garand seem to be getting harder to find at a reasonable price. Good parts were there but expensive. Great show, visit the show if you can. Met people from just about all states and Hawaii. Next show is 2-3 April 2011. Maybe I will see you there.

Tulsa Show
Yes Tulsa Show is a great show. Everyone should go at least once. I havn't been for a few years. I can't seem to save up enought cash anymore. I don't like to window shop. I like to buy things. The last time I was there I found everything I was looking for. I spent most of the cash I took with Me. It was a GREAT weekend. Bill
