He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose
There are no great men, only great challenges that ordinary men are forced by circumstances to meet.

The more pics of Korea I see, the more enemy weapons I see in use. So you men that were there, was it for want of more firepower or what? One pic shows even an enemy anti tank grenade at the ready. Check back on the last six or so Korea posts and see what I mean? I understand the vast superior numbers and all. More loaded weapons on hand and transition on empty. Less down time for reloading. It's just that through my 35 years in the army we preached not using the enemy weapons unless in emergency. Here I thought you men had all the ordnance you needed!

Interesting comment.... my Uncle Richard served in the Marines and the frostbite on his foot was just one of the tales that could be drawn out of him on warm July nights sitting around the barn after putting up hay. Seems he spoke often of heing equipped with 4 or more weapons when dug in ( foxhole).

Though his health is failing, his still keeps a very well stocked closet locked with enough firepower to make me wonder about the scars he must carry from Korea.
