anyone remember me from old Jouster
9 to 12 months ago i posted pictures of a underwood that has been in my family since 43.it was complete less the stock and hand gaurd, since then, i did my research ,and found many many wonder friends from Jouster, one in particular,Paul Imbruglia. many know him as PBI on here(he also hosted the birmington show). After i posted the pics wondering what it was worth without a stock, i got bombarded with emails from collectors wanting to buy it, offers ranging from 300 to 1900.
One was Paul. After talking to him, he told me that he had a stock that is the perfect mate for the rifle i had but he convinced me to keep it. After all ,it was a family heirloom.(ya see ,my grandfather worked for underwood during the war). i finally paid of the stock last month and was itching to post pics of it complete, but i had serious focusing issues with my camera,i took 50 or so, and only a few came out good. in my opinion, the picture do not do this rifle justice.
Paul, thank you very much,it will continue to be a family heirloom for many generations, or until the liberals pry it from my dead fist. THANK YOU !

I am sure you can find one in the 1.4 million range(finding 1 that precise,14146xx,may be a little harder though). There has been 11 posted that came from CMP in 1.4 million range.

my original posting on old Jouster was for its value without the stock, what would you guys say its worth now?
-
I think the value is not important. With the family history that goes with that rifle, I don't think I would ever sell it, hand it down.
Looks really nice. One picture of the receiver was distorted at the serial number area. I thought I drank too much until I reaized I hadn't had anything to drink.
Thanks for posting the pictures. Does your camera have a macro?
