    Bavarian M1 Carbine's

I keep hearing these are kinda rare and are pretty high on a lot of want lists as well as worth a pretty penny. How much of that is true? I have one and at the time the guy I bought it from didnt seem to think much about it other than it was a nice M1icon. He does private dealing from a table at quite a few shows and I talk to him often and he does collect and sell a fair number of them so I would think he knew what he had.

    Thanks for any info, Randoj

They are a special collector's niche. Normally they are in very good condition and often are all or nearly all original. That is why they usually command a premium.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

They usually are in very nice condition. But personally I just can't warm up to all the markings that are on them.
I know a guy that these are all he collects.
He laughs at me for collecting all the carbine web gear I find.
    To each their own.
