Today's trip to the North Store

I arrived before 8:30 am. There were about 8 Underwoods, 12 IBMs, 12 SGs and around 80 NPMs. Only 1 Winchester graced the racks. Only one of the IBMs had a push safety. That was the only early part visible outside of about a dozen type 3 stocks. Only 4 of those had visible crossed cannons, and 3 of those were in poor condition.Plenty of Garands on the racks, but most of them looked to be pretty well worn. The place was so crowded that it too them 2.25 hours to process my order for 3 in the wrap carbine mags and a can of Greek .30-06 ammo. I've never been so disappointed in a visit to the North Store. Also on the racks, 2 Crags, 4 low serial # 03s, 10 1917s, and around 12 beater Smith Corona 03A3s. All in all, the trip was pretty much a waste of gas.

Jim sorry to hear, at least you got some ammo and mags. But yeah, 2 1/4 hours plus the back and forth drive for what you DID end up with does suck a bit.

    Jimb,

Wow, that bad news really impacts my desire to make a run to the South store. With all the new listings on line, I was hopeful that the in-store stock would be a salad bar of great selections. Did anyone go to the South store today?

    South Store

Yes, I went to South store and from what I saw the Inlands had been replenished, Picked up a 6 digit Inland By SG with I stock. And a saginaw
with winchester barrel. They had a few underwoods 3 IBMs and about 12 NPM. Also they had about 10 Bavarian's they are real easy to spot.
One looked Bubba to the max. Some had a Pink tint to the trigger-Guard.
By the time I got there I'd say about 40 guns had left.

I think a lot of people assumed the same. Many regretfully did not read responses from CMPicon stating that the stuff put on the sales pages wouldn't hit the stores for a couple/few weeks.

It's hard to blame CMP for simply going about their business. They made zero claims about what would be in store, beyond what equated to "what there was when the stores closed before the break". It's a case of customer-generated hype.

LOL More like customer (me) generated HOPE (Definitely me)

I planned on giving them a few weeks anyway, maybe longer. The weathers getting better, so I won't sweat the drive.

While what you said about stuff not being on the shelves is valid, I'm talking about stuff that is already supposed to be there. There were large gaps in the racks with nothing there or only a couple to chose from. I wasn't looking for anything new.
