Canadian M1917
I think this one is ex-PCMR. The rear sight was converted to a buckhorn, otherwise just as it was built, all "W" parts, 10-18 barrel date. Nice find, I think! I replaced the sight leaf, sadly it is an Eddystone. Still, the only part I can find not "W" marked.

Good find, it appears to be PCMR. The sight will appear to you if you advertise here. There's lots of them out there...

Hello guys,
i just picked up a mostly remington '17 that has been to canada. It has 12tc & 794 (both lined out) and the broad arrow inside the c stamped into the right hand side of the stock. It is serial number 66xxx on the receiver and has 402xxx stamped vertically on the upper bolt handle root. It has a great bore and has not been arsenal reworked so it's still wearing it's original finish, probably around 85%. The barrel is stamped 12-17 and the importer was cdi swanton, vt.
Would you have an idea as to what 12tc meant? Now to try some cast bullet loads in it.
Sincerely,
docbob
