C1 Leitz scope

I've been offered a commercial C1 (1962) and also a C1 Leitz scope in very good condition in its can. How common are these (the scopes I mean)? Anything to watch out for with them that's unique to them? Considering the C1 are prohibs and the Libs are back in, the rifle may be a bit too much money and not the wisest investment at the moment, but the scope may be of interest.
