Post WWII Underwood Round Bolts
Has anyone ever come across the late Underwood Round Bolts WITH the gas escape hole in a bundled wrap?
I'm trying to find information about the Contract and Production dates.
Thx..

Mine too,the wrap looks just like the one USGI Bob shows and describes. Originally I did not think either of mine had gas holes, but they do. Wow, riverbank has them for 289.oo? My records show i only paid $75 for mine 7 years ago.why so much now?

Charlie, I don't think the 1948 contract bolts has the holes in the bottom BUT the later Korean War contract bolts do have the holes. At least the ones I have seen do. 1851 time frame if I remember right.
As to why the prices? GREED!!!!!! WW2 bolts 7 years ago were not that expensive at $79 each.

Mine in the wrap also is complete, not stripped. Were all in that contract complete bolts? Just curious. And I am just assuming that mine came from the bundle of 3 that you commonly see

I know they came in much larger bundles, but I seem to remember seeing quiet a few sellers on eBay having boxes of 3 with the same info on the label as the box of 10 in the post above.
