Value of Springfield 1903A3(A4?) Smith Corona
Hello,
I hope I am at the right sub-forum for posting this question.
I would like to know approximate replacement value of above mentioned rifle. It has sporterized, straight grip military stock, but it retains original sights. It doesn't have the front sight protector.
It features Marble's Patridge style front sight blade with brass insert. The bore and metal are in very good shape. The gun has not been altered in any other way.
I appreciate your help.
Thanks.

Pics would help a ton in giving an estimate in value. A sporterized rifle like that would not fetch near as much as it would in original condition. It being a Smith Corona it was definitely an A3 at one time. I am not aware of any of the A4's being assembled by S/C. If you can post pics or send me a pm I will try to help more.

SC made no A4 sniper rifles, without pictures its hard to tell, value of the parts,. if its not d&T for a scope, then thats better, maybe 300.00, if its D&T 200.00 give or take.

Quite right, SC's never ventured into the world of snipers, if the gun has been tapped as well as a stock change the value would only be around 20 to 30% of the original value, the right stock and some major surgery would restore much of the value depending on the stock and work done, HTH-SDH
