"Canadian FN" on Joe Salter site...
More than a little fishy this one, but probably the only way they could sell such a thing in the US since the FN receivers are considered full auto I believe. Note the aftermarket US upper receiver, which isn't mentioned in the copy...

Ever seen a C1 with a Trilux?

Sure, a Canadian "L"1A1... US upper, Brit. lower, misc parts to assemble a rifle. It was a common enough practice to use Cdn. furniture & bits to trick out a Brit. or Indian rifle to make it resemble a C1A1.

Does it say "L1A1 Sporter" on the side of the receiver? Then it would be a rare Canadian FN.

Not too many "bits" on there are Cdn based on my quick glance. Breech block, rear sight, selector lever, lower, carry handle are not CDN. I am even questioning the wood.
A bit disappointing considering it's Joe Salter. He usually gives a good story, but doesn't outright bull**** like he is doing here.

lower is 1959 UE enfield ,selector is enfield ,cocking handle looks BSAthe "B" after the nato part number , upper is a Century Arms International (probably early imbel) it does say made in canada BUT the last letters are CAI L so it could have been made in Montreal when Century had a warehouse and assembled for sale here with new uppers for sale in the U.S. for those who remember Century were selling all kinds of Brit parts kits up here for $99.00 everthing less the recciever you could also buy complete Brit L1A1's for $199.00 totally missmatched this is no REAL C1 by any stretch

Nice! One thing I do like about Salter is the great group of pictures he does provide...I could wish the sellers on CGNTZ did the same.
