Went to our local WalMart last night. They actually had about 10-12 boxes of .45 ACP, maybe 15 boxes of 9mm, about the same of .40 S&W but no .38 Special. They also had about 8-10 boxes of .223 Rem. 55 gr. FMJ. A good bit of .22 LR in individual 50 rd. pks, but no 500/550 rd. bulk paks. K-Mart had the .22 LR Rem. Thunderbolts for $21.90/500. I passed on that. Sincerely. Bruce.

Wal Mart ammo
Local Wally world here still has some handgun ammo but its very limited. They have plenty of shotgun shells though. I was looking for some 22lr but they were out every time I checked. I got lucky Monday & went there just after a shipment came in & picked up 6 (550) bricks of Remington plated Hp for 15.00 ea. tax included. Price was tolerable but not great. I can remember paying 5 a brick not to long back. Was putting away what I just bought & found a 50 cal. ammo can full of Federal 22lr I forgot I had. There were 6-7 50rnd boxes of Nimrod ammo from Whites Store in it. That might be collectors ammo.

It's notr the price of either brass or lead
Lead has dropped in price by 50% in the past few months as has the other metals. It is simply supply and demand. The panic buyers, hoarders, and speculators have driven the prices through the roof. They are killing our sport and they (in the words of Rhett Butler) frankly don't give a damn.
