Looking for something else I ran across this knife, forgot I had it. I collect Carbines and this doesn't fit my collection must be why I put it away.
Reading in Cole's #3 page 21, it is a Model 1910 Bolo. It says Springfield Armory made 59,095 of these between 1910-1918. This one is marked 1912.
The scabbard is different then the one shown in Cole's book. But it has the catch for the thumb release.
I was told the stuff on the blade was blood, so I left it. I know, stories are just stories. But it sounded good when he told me.
Thoughts and comments please.
Can someone give me an estimate of current value?
Thanks for the help,
Jim
