WW2 Bomber crew memorial
Here is a photo of a small memorial attached to a village church here in France.
I'm a few days late with the date; it was 7th January 1944.
Only one survivor; one of the gunners.

Thanks for sharing. Its touching to know these little memorials still exist. Those men, and those like them, earned the right to never be forgotten.

I think they always shall too. I was looking for details of this crew and found another four or so...that went down the same day taking a shot at sub pens in Bremerhaven. They too had memorials like this and are of course well tended. Just like the Commonwealth cemeteries from WW1... Everything from a few men to thousands.
