Very nice group of No.4's and the six degrees of separation works well, meaning it is funny how things line up such as what you have experienced with these rifles over time & distance.

Thanks, Cinders.
I got my first No.4 (UF A15573) in 2007 in a local gunstore in northern California. The consecutive pair(15545 and 46) came to me by way of an auction in Florida in 2013
Pair of (2) Enfield Military battle rifles with sequential serial numb... - Reposell.com®.
Of course, only a coincidence, but such a nice one.

I always wonder why the British army didn't retain a few of these No4 MK2 rifles for ceremonial duties/special occasions like foreign armies retained a few of their older rifles.

The RAF Regiment did retain 50 or so and their ceremonial Drill Team still use them

Thanks, Peter.
Thanks, guys. These rifles and their condition still amaze me. I've got one dated 1957 that is in the same shape.
