What I s a Star stamped winchester M1917 worth?
I have a Star stamped Winchester M1917, Nice dark blue parked finish, Winchester stocks and hand guards, winchester bolt and a few other W marked parts. barrel is a WWII installed. Looks nice but bore is shot out. Its a CMP Rifle with Docs. Whats it worth?

yes and the "blue" - "parked" finish is actually two entirely different finishes , could be either though

I have no idea of the market where you live. For a collector "a few other W marked parts" is not good enough. It need to be 100% W. And the parts should show matching levels of wear, or the suspicion will arise that it is a "mixmaster". Not that would be important if it were a good shooter, but ... "bore is shot out". So not valuable either way. But I am not a collector, and their valuations often surprise me.

Probably a "JA" marked barrel. Unfortunately, it may be worth more as parts than as a complete rifle. It depends on the condition of the parts. Replacement barrels are available, but they'll be new manufacture. I'd rebarrel it and use it as a range gun, if I was either to keep it or was buying it. But to buy it, I'd have to deduct the cost of the barrel and possibly the labor to install and finish ream the chamber to make it worthwhile.
