    Reising 65

Hey guys, I saw a Reising 65 today at a gun show. Serial number 3507, The gun is parked with original sights. My question is, that it has a MC-58 stock, would this correct in any circumstances. Also he wants $650 for it. Is that a good price? Steve

Not correct under any condition. M65 producion stopped about a decade before the MC58 began. The safety area found on the M65 stock would have to be cut out of the MC58 stock for it to fit.
Price seems high to me , but I haven't been keeping track . I bought all three of mine for about what he's asking for one. With the wrong stock to boot , I'd say pass.

Thanks for you help. It seems the prices are getting higher on the 22 trainers. I went to an auction sunday near me that had a US marked Kimber (#16911), it did not have the front or rear peep sight. He said he had a gunsmith take them of so he could put a scope on it, they also put a blade front sight on it and he let the gunsmith keep the original sights. I did not stay for the auction so I do not know what it went for but there was a trap shotgun there that brought $9000 I was told.
