If anyone has one I need a favour...

Have had this a few years and received the new made fore-end and handgaurd last year, what I,m after is a few dimensions of the nose cap, the one shown is a repro cast one, but is few % smaller than an original due to shrinkage when casting, for anyone lucky to have a LEC 1* just a few basic measurements is all I,m after to compare against the one I have, I,m not asking for anyone to strip there pride of joy etc, but if anyone can help then please PM me.

Think everyone is in the same boat Mr E, I cant mention the source of the nose cap in public, something I agreed to when buying it but they are no longer available, it was purchased to give me a model to work to, the fore-end and hangaurd in the pictures were made to an original size nose cap, so just after the sizes of an original to compare to with the itention of producing a drawing etc.

I would like to say a big thanks to all who have sent a PM ( especially to Warren and Buccaneer), some have gone out there way to help and cant thank them enough, like I say intend to produce a drawing in the future and make a prototype, and make it available to members, what you need to do is think outside the box when making something like this, for any one who knows about ship building think of a form of simpsons rule.

Brian, the timber is produced by a guy who does it as a hobby, so again have to keep his ID to a minimum (he asked for this), but his name does appear on a certain website, the workmanship is excellent, the pics dont do his work justice (but when its complete they will).

I think its a case of him not wanting to supply the trade then let them make x amounts on the back of him, and lets him make a few $$ out of a hobby when it suits him (unless he decides to kick the day job), but he has also done many repairs and spliced many cut down Fore-ends.

Will send a PM so you can track him down.
