Got my PH 5C and 4/47 back from Fultons and man, am I ever happy
A few months back I sent Fultons of Bisley two Parker Hale sights, a 5C and a 4/47 that I had for my L39A1. The 5C had a damaged elevation turret and the 4/47 just looked and operated as if it had never been serviced in its long life. I just got them back and I could not be happier. They look and operate as if they are brand new. My hat is off to those at Fultons. They've renewed my faith in old world service and craftsmanship. I'll be sending my spare 5c to them this week for service.
I've mounted the 4/47 on my L39A1 (it's calibrated for 7.62 after all) and will mount the 5C on one of my No. 4 Mk 2s. Yep, I'm happy happy happy.

What was the cost to repair/overhaul? my 5c needs some work I think though shipping it to the uk seems a bit OTT. I prefer the 4/47 seems better made btw....good sights for a no4.
AJ Parker made the 4/47 btw not Parker Hale...AJ Parker was Parker's son I believe and the sights wizz.
regards

Over the top...
Over the top it may be but I've got about $3000 invested in my L39A1 and making sure the sight matches the gun in both appearance and operation makes perfect sense...to me. BTW, thanks for the clarification on AJ Parker vice Parker Hale. The cost for service and repair for both sights with shipping was 120GBP, about $90 per sight. Considering they now look and operate as new, I'm quite pleased.

That doesnt sound a bad charge actually for what sounds like a quality repair.
There is also an AJ Parker 4/80 which I think is 1/4 MOA clicks and not 1/2 MOA click on the 4/47. Ive never had one to look at and try though.
Whats your front sight?

It is the larger diameter globe that came on the L39A1. It takes Anschutz inserts. I'm currently using the clear plastic inserts rather than the metal. The sight picture is indistinguishable from my other match rifles that mount modern sights (Centra/Redfield Palma/RPA) and Gehmann apertures. The gun really intrigues me with brilliant accuracy with ball match ammo but looks and operates in such an antique almost rough manner. A real wolf in sheeps clothing.
