KNIL Revolver
The M1891 KNIL, Dutch East Indies Revolver, was made over a 25 year period by two Dutch contractors and by Vickers. How does one differentite the 3 makers? Were they all numbered in the same serial number sequence?

The identifying mark for the specific manufacturer should be on the right side of the barrel frame.

I don't know, but I doubt it - it would have been difficult to coordinate over 25 years, and if the manufacturer was identifiable, it would have been unnecessary. The M1917 rifle was made by 3 manufacturers - each had it's own serial numbers.
