Asking for your prayers...
This site has been very imortant to me, both as an educational outreach for common inqueries, and general help topic questions, and for the most part, just an outreach for reading in my spare time, about common issues and resolutions/advice on old rifles and such.
I may or may not be on for a while to read anymore, as my Father is very sick with Diabetes. Last Friday he was having problems with his new pump. Plus he was all confused, scared, and acting weird, just not himself. He thried to call the doc's office, and ask for help and advice, & the NURSES there are 100% all aces, just so helpfull and understanding. But when the doctor found out he even asked for help, that something was wrong, she blew a fuse. When mom took him to his Doctor, to see what was wrong, she blamed him for goofing around with the pump. Got mad at him and once the pump info was downloaded, she sent him home & told him she didn't want to see him again for three weeks.
In this past week, with that in mind, Dad was afraid to do anything. But now he was really acting strange and getting worse. As hard as I tried, I could barely help him keep his blood sugar under control, but he was just so confused, so agitated, so out of place and so hard to deal with. Me and mom finally got him to go to the doc again. Now they can plainly see something is wrong with him. He's currently being tested for having a series of mini stokes.
They didn't even look at anything last visit, didn't even talk about other concerns, only now a week later do they say oops... something is wrong.
So I am asking for prayers, thats all, just some prayers, from anyone out there who would send them. I really like it here, on milsurps, but I may be buisey with family needs, and not be on much. It would mean a lot in the off-topic group if anyone would just send a prayer, or a thought for my DAD. Thanks everyone and all, Thanks for all your input and all your advice so far........HILLBILLY-06.

I went thru many of the same issues many times with my father who was a very brittle diabetic. The personality changes brought on by high/low blood suger are very frightning for the patient and their family.
My prayers ant thoughts are with you. I have enjoyed your posts and look forward to your further participation in the forum when you are able to return.
