Not to Create a Panic, But...........

I heard this two days ago and confirmed it this morning. Due to the Ukraine/Crimea situation, Putin has halted all shipments of Russiaicon manufacture ammunition to the United Statesicon and I would assume the west in general.

So no more Tula ammo for a while. Possibly no more surplus either although that may be coming from the Ukraine.

I'm just glad I bought a spam can at the last gun show.

I first heard this on a radio news broadcast.

Reports do seem to be conflicted. Financial sites are the primary drive behind the report although other sources say Tula denies this is true.

One source is quoted as saying Putin needs the economic benefits from the export and that if he wanted to harm US relations, he would increase exports of both arms and ammunition while lowering the price.

Others however point out that if he is readying for war with Ukraine, he needs the ammo for Mother Russia.

In any case, several large distributors have sold out of all Tula ammo already according to reports.

Hopefully it will come to Canadaicon instead. We usually pay at least 50% more for Russianicon commercial ammo than in the US, and the supply and selection is quite limited.
