Many "extended" .22 rimfire magazines use the same type curley-que spring that straightens out when loaded and curls back up as the mag. is emptied.
I've never studied a Remington-Lee magazine before; but don't have them coming into the shop all the time!

Well, I reckon this is those .22 rfs' grandpappy.
I've seen the "roll-up" spool springs in the plastic 10-22 Ruger extended "'nanner" mags, is that what you're thinking about? (The old Mitchell 50rd mags are more of a clockwork spring, I'm thinking of the others.)

Yes......
The () magazine for 10/22 was the first to come to mind. I've seen the spring in other mags though, just don't recall which ones. The Mitchell was a clockwork type spring you had to wind up before loading.
