    1917 trench knife

    Can anyone tell me what a 1917 trench knife is worth. I saw one this weekend with scabard. this is the trench knife with the triangle blade and green leather scabard. Is anyone faking these knives. thanks,don in fl

    A reproduction becomes a FAKE when some one sells it as an original. Many of the "fakes" out there were made as reproductions or re enactors pieces, it is the people who then sell them on that make them fakes. Unfortunatley many items made as repro's and fantasy pieces in the 60's have age to them, and grandads tales of picking them up on D Day or out of Hitlers bunker, and of course Grandad woudlnt lie woudl he!
