Feeding problem in M95 Spanish Mauser 7mm carbine
My son has a 1914 dated Oviedo model 95 Mauser 7x57mm carbine and it has a feeding problem. If a round is fed into the chamber and the bolt closed, all is well. However, if a round is inserted into the magazine and attempted to be chambered, it will hang up on the edge of the chamber and jam. I turns out that the firing pin is protruding from the bolt face when the bolt is opened, preventing the rim from being fully captured by the extractor and holding the round down at an angle, causing the jam. I have compared the bolt from the Spanish rifle with the bolt from a M95 Chilleno DWM and, when the bolt is opened, the firing pin on the DWM bolt does not protrude from the bolt face. Anyone have any suggestions for a "Fix" for this problem?
Thanks in advance.

First make sure the pin is all the way in the cocking piece. Then buy a new cocking piece, shorten the firing pin or replace the sear. Sear or cocking piece is worn or the firing pin has been replaced.

Something is seriously wrong if the firing pin protrudes from the bolt face when the bolt is open. And DO NOT insert a round in the chamber and close the bolt; if the firing pin is still sticking out and if you push too hard it will fire the round as the bolt closes, blowing the bolt back, destroying the rifle, and quite possibly causing you severe injury, even death.
The problem is more than likely that the firing pin broke ahead of the spring support flange and the front part is loose in the bolt. If you don't know how to disassemble the bolt and check/replace the firing pin, take the rifle to a gunsmith or other knowledgeable person before firing it again.

Thanks all for the responses. A new firing pin and follower spring from Springfield Sporters solved the problem nicely.
