modest Mauser collection, getting pricey and hard to find (nice)
very VERY modest collection of Mausers, all of them shoot and the Swede is a sub minute at 100 yards prone with a sling

What's up w/ the straight bolt handled '41 98k? I actually prefer the straight bolt, but then I shoot left handed (usually).
My Mauser collection isn't very extensive, but I'd like to find a good shootable Standard Modell one day. (Please, not right now!)

Nice rifles. I'm guessing that that '41 K98 has a VZ24 bolt in it. If it's RC and the serial number matches it's because they were force matched by the Russians. So yeah, it's the correct bolt for that RC, but not what it would have had originally from the factory.
I think you should put that sporterized '41 back to rights with a new stock and parts, unless it's been drilled and tapped or something already. It won't match but most of them don't anyway!

right now it has a shilen barrel, a timney trigger, drilled and taped for weaver bases, gentry 3 position safety with new shroud, custom stock with maple for end and, brazillian heartwood spacer, it has been glass bedded, and the scope is a 1955 weaver rebuilt to match the finish on the rifle, and it do shoot, it started out life as a GEW 1916 and probably was a WWI bring back?
25 years ago i paid twenty bucks or so for the receiver and bolt, no other parts, besides Mausers are everywherr, this rifle that I built is a one of a kind and is a legacy gun for the first grand child that does something worthwhile to deserve it, and just graduating from high school is a no, Eagle Scout, yes, national honor society yes, graduate with a stripe from boot camp, yes,,,
got to earn it

sorry bout that,,,
actually bought that the way it is shown, probably a WWII bringback, paid 100 bucks for it years ago, and it shoots rather well, brought numerous deer down with it, in its original 8mm configuration, but it is all original and not a mark on it rust wise, and of course no import marks, blue on it is superb, it is nice, sure would liked to have seen the original stock complete
