P14 and No4MK1* front sight blades

Does memory serve correct in thinking that the two front sight blades are interchangeable? I know the No1 sights are not but I thought I remember reading that the P14 and No4 blades were.

Hi Jesse - I just went through this on my P14 and took a photo - P14 on the left, No4 on the right. Yes the No4 blades fit a P14, the dovetails are a match, the blade and front and rear block overhangs differ (for those concerned about shape / micro cosmetics). The sizing system is set to a different datum too - A P14 +0.060 is the equivalent of a No4 0 (zero). There are taller sight options for the No4, the P14 +0.060" is the tallest I have seen, found or know of..so far.. I went with the No4 split base version on my P14 (no need to stake in place - so far so good)

I hope this helps, credit and thanks to those who have in turn helped me.

That is very very heplful!! I currently have a 0.030 (has 14 on one side of the blade and 30 on the other) and would like to raise POA a bit. Good to know I've got some wiggle room yet. Thanks for the help.
