I picked up a nice used example of the Arvo Ojala No1 quick draw holster (very unusual find in NZ) at a local gunshow on Sunday. The back of the holster has two stamps as shown in the photos. The first stamp says Patent Pending (applied for in 1956) and the second stamp has the patent number (granted in 1958). My research has revealed such holsters having either only one stamp or the other. My question is; would I be correct in assuming that this is a 1958 manufactured holster that was produced just after the patent was granted? Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.
