Yep, you're correct. According to Duff they started Parking in September 1918 and reduced the number of employees required from 305 to 80 and cut the time down by quite a bit as well.

if the rifle has been parked already its should be finish the same way,
a guy would go broke trying to pay me to polish the sand blast finish down so it will look right.
to look right the rifle should be a mix of phosphate and blue finishes.
or it will look restored.
iv seen many done by companys that dont want to blue, and they just dont look right.
