Maybe a bit of padding to ease the pounding? I must admit, I don't wear more than a t shirt during the summer range trips, so I know how you feel. Oddly, that's one thing that's gotten easier to bear over the years, though. Recoil just isn't as bad as I remember it was in high school. Maybe it's the 40 extra pounds?
Pretty rifle and good groups! Do one on our "orficial" milsurps target and do an entry, if you haven't already done so!

Those are official milsurps targets. I was going to submit the second group, after the first 2 shots were touching. Then that 4th shot came with an un-anounced sneeze, and blew the whole thing. I was too depressed and sore to try a third group, BUT I will return!
Thanks

I have the same trouble shooting at Alsfeld on the 300 meter range. We shoot in pairs at each target, and the butt staff put up the targets alternately. One has a yellow stripe on the top, one has a red stripe. It's all the same to me - all grey. I have to watch my buddy, and if he seems to be uninterested in the target that is showing, I reckon it is my turn.
So what, let's get those grey blobs!

JM & PC, I also have problems with the “GRAY BLOB” you speak of. I made a template of the correct size concentric circles on a CAD program. I have been experimenting with different color schemes, this one seems to be the best for me. I can past them full size to a word document page and email them to you if you would like to try them out. Just a quick print on your handy color ink jet type printer (I use heavy stock paper in mine), and off to the range you go!
Let me know if you would like a copy.
P.S. I just remembered I can also make a PDF file out of them and email that as well.

That's a great excuse JM! Next time the doc plays his record about losing weight, I shall explain that it's not excess weight, but a vital stabilization factor in my sport - like Sumo wrestlers!
