Can someone identify where is field phone was used?
The only marking I can find are around the grommet where the wire exits the base going to the handset. It is labeled: ARENS CONTROLS INC DURA-GROM PAT.PEND. The round fixture on one end is a cap for a battery receptacle.

RBruce, I tried the only contact I know who is a genius on these field phones and radios and he has never seen one of these. Sorry I couldn't help.

Try contacting these folks. Arens Company formally Arens Control Company.

Good idea. I did several, no many searches using the Arens name along with other criteria. No matches on their WWII history. I guess contacting them is a last resort. I wonder if anyone there even knows about their WWII connection.

Hard to say but I'm sure someone within the company would. Good luck with the search and keep us posted
