Great looking Broomhandles. Holsters are in great shape judging from the Pics.

    Thanks Bob,

Sorry I'm off topic, but didn't have anymore 03' photos left. Both brooms are all matching, leather for the Red Nine doesn't have a broken stitch, 1917. There is a five inch lock of bright, very old blond hair in the spare spring pouch.

    Regards,

    Lance

    Hey Jim,

Thanks. All of the pieces in those two photos are matching and all original; however, they were purchased from dealers nowhere near New Orleans. Shot'em all. Could conjure up a story about each one, especially the Webley MK1. It was never modified and has blood pitting. Tight as a tick, almost a smoothbore, but still shows rifling on a spent bullet. Made in 1887 or so. That .455 two hundred sixty two grain bullet knocks big wood around. Makes a nice "Thock" when it hits.

The local show in Kenner, La. has improved dramatically in the last coupla' years but doesn't compare to Tulsa or the other bigtime shows (Happens six times a year, next weekend is one). Jerky vendors are down to one and the plastic blowgun guy is gone.

Have bought a few peaches from there for fair prices. That's where I lucked into my RIA Marine rifle. Come down for the food and fun (The Quarter is a little bit dangerous if you stray, you know that).

The show does have a lot of great stuff, course good 03's are few and far between and are pricey. You want to see a bunch of fine Lugers, come on down. Lots of fine milsurplus rifles other than 03's, even Garands sometimes, but you gotta do your homework.

    Robert/LB
