    Quick loading a Krag

As I prepared to use my Kragicon for the first time in the local CMPicon match, I hunted for a way to reload fast for the prone rapid fire stage. Talked with a gentleman on the Krag Collectors forum who makes quick loaders but he is currently in process of moving.

I eventually found that a standard Mosin stripper clip does a fair job with some practice. The key is to slip it all the way in the opening and push the rounds with your index finger as you pull up the clip slightly with your thumb and middle finger.

This is that full length parade/VFW rifle we looked at? After shooing you found it was good as is? I guess all is well and it's earning it's keep...

Yes it is. Decided not to refinish it after getting considerable advice to maintain it's history.

I found the rough bore bore shoots amazingly well with .311 Sierra 180 gr pro hunters.

I remember that part too, I'd still have it as is.
