    No32 Mk3 Scope & Mount (L42A1 7.62 Conversion)

Spotted this for sale on "that auction site", pretty rare scope in 7.62 conversion format.

Looks like its had a bit of a life, but overall appears well looked after.

This sale has no affiliation with me what so ever just thought it may be of interest as these scopes rarely come up for sale!

The R32823 on the bracket does not appear to relate to an L42

Can't make out the other numbers on the bracket

    Roy,
Certainly not on the L42A1 lists albeit agreed the top turret has been converted to Metric !!

Not sure if the first letter is a W but looks to me like the struck out bracket number is - W32758.

This scope was mentioned in a thread on here back in 2010. Mention was made about the originality an "L42 spec rifle with Singapore Police Force markings ( Rifle No R 32823 based on a 44 BSA. T and L1A1 Scope No 22524)".

I wonder why the scope is now separated from the rifle?

I wonder why Carlos thought it to be suspicious then??

I'm guessing he was referring to the rifle rather than the scope. Maybe it was/is a faux L42A1 with an original scope and mount. Someone then decided to part out the faux L42A1 for parts.
