In previous post I stated that I bought a eddystone 1917, Mixmaster. Went to a pawn shop today and looked at a British p14 in 303. After reading farris's book about the interchangability issues between the big three's p14's compared to thier efforts to interchange the m1917's. I took a close look at this P14. first it was a drill rifle with a 3/8 hole drilled through the barrel in front of the reciever. a rod had been run through it and welded on both ends. otherwise it was very intact but a little rough. asking price was 150 bucks. It was a mixmaster too. I walked away cause it seemed like a dawg with flea's. Another concern was that the vendor tried to convince me all I had to do was rebarrel it for .30'06 and it would be a great shooter.
Not.
anyway.. my question is...Do parts on p14's interchange with m1917's and when you buy parts to resto your m1917 how do you know what your getting?Information
