I know the seller from myMooseJaw days....don't blame him for the feeding frenzy that seems to be starting on these things. It's too bad he has to throw the word sniper into the title...these boxes seem to be selling well enough on their own these days that there is no need to misrepresent them.
Amazing that guys from Italyicon or Australiaicon would consider shipping these things half way around the world.

I'll have to keep an eye on these....if they don't see bids I could always buy them and pick them up to save shipping. MJ is about a 4 hour drive for me, and it's nice to see some of the sights again.

    Hi All,

It looks like the world is going crazy with the Enfield Sniper stuff. Not only these CNo 7 boxes (which are 2 inches lower in hight than the Chest No15, so the scopecan can be stored too) but also the repro Mk1 and 2 scope adjustment tools, repro scopemounts are going to the roof.
It sounds to me there are an lot of people out there with lots of money but lacking the knowledge what is correct and not. I would be disapointed if I bought something that turned out to be an repro or something that looks like the real deal but isn't (such as the CNo 7 chest).

I hope the sellers don't only go for the money but also take thier responsabilety to correct an misrepresented item.

At least he mentions in the ad that the cases are similar, but not exaclty like the Sniper chest. I have seen way too many sellers on ebay pull the line about these chests being used by the Canadianicon Forces when the sniper chests were in short supply. The Cno7 chests sell well enough on their own these days, there is really no need to even use the word sniper in the title.
Mind you, one dishonest seller (from the Winnipeg area it turns out) recently sold a Cno7 chest which was modified to sniper size, and got $700 or $800 for it, plus the buyer was in Europe if I recall, so paid dearly for the shipping too.
