Nice restoration of an early rifle, I did not know Ratworks made any AR-15/M16 parts ?
Early parts have become very difficult to find and there is a large repro market, everything in these photos is original including the steel gas tube and the plastic

That double pouch with waffle magazines gives me a stiffy! I love the brown/green furniture. Wish I had a set of the real stuff. I have painted the black stuff green and love it.. Actually if I didn't have this mottled set, I thought of doing a 601 instead of a 602. Ratworks just makes early three prongs.

In the late 1980s, I had a gorgeous set of original green painted brown 601 furniture and original early three prong FH on an SP1. A "friend" talked me out of them, and never repaid me. There were a lot of Edgewater buffers back then, but nobody wanted them. I had half a dozen, but had to sneak them into builds I sold to get rid of them. My wish list: Triangular charging handle, Edgewater buffer, and waffle magazine.
