USMA Colt 1911A1
I saw a Colt yesterday in a local shop. It was U.S.M.A. Class of 2004 and like new. Do these come on the market very often? What value is place on one in this condition?

I'm assuming this is some sort of Marine Corp Academy commemorative pistol or some such thing. If so, they may have some collector value to a person that graduated in that class or associated in some way to it. Otherwise it would be most likely a shooter grade pistol. If you could get it for $ 500 to $700 it would be a reasonable price. IMO

Duane, I thought perhaps it was for a West Point graduate class of 2004. I wonder if the class gets together for a group order?

The United States Military Academy (West Point) has a class gun. They are usually a 1911A1 and sold to the Cadets at or near cost. Their value is generally minimum to a collector.
