Trying to find a Vietnam War usmc flak jacket
I have been trying to find a USMC issued flak jacket from the Vietnam war so I have one for my display. Sadly there are none currently for sale on ebay that are my size (large). Are there other sites selling them or should I just keep looking on ebay from time to time?

I've seen them come up on EBAY. As Jim said, just keep looking for a bit... In a couple of weeks there could be several for sale in the same week.

I'm bidding on a good one on ebay right now. It's an M-1955 example that's all there and it's even a large so I'm happy. I just hope I win it

Trolling ebay ,shows and surplus stores building a m56 web set. I found a great set of suspenders excellent shape and cheap (for someone 5' tall) but did score an early mag pouch with two 20 rounders. The butt packs are selling cheap enough on ebay when I am not watching but high when I am. I think the airsoft folks is who I am competeing with.
Update I think the suspenders will work. They are supposed to attach to the butt pack which will make them long enough ( I hope).

Update: Sorry I forgot to post this when I got the jacket but I got that M-55 flak jacket off of ebay. I think I paid a little too much ($215) but it was worth it to me to have a great piece that I can still use for my display and for reenacting.

Congrats on the EBAY win. Sometimes it's worth spending a few bucks to get something you want.
Thanks for the feedback. It's always nice to get feedback and the whole forum benefits from it.

You're welcome Harlan. I love collecting these items especially ones that are linked to my father and his time in Vietnam. I wanted this particular jacket because in one of my dad's pictures he is wearing one exactly like the one I bought. I have seen them around from past sales going from $200 to $250 but I didn't know what the going price would be in today's market. Luckily it only has a small tear towards the bottom of the zipper and no other real wear is on it other than some kind of storage number written in blue on the inner back of the jacket.
