New H&R M12

I've been on the lookout for an M12 for some time and finally lucked into one on AA auction.

It appears to be in very good condition, but is missing the scope mounting blocks. I got onto the list for Ken Viani's last batch of M12 scope mounts, so I'm not sure whether not having the original scope blocks is that big a deal.

Seller advised that he will include the original CMP icon

papers when he ships it. Anyone recall what the CMP sold these for? How do they stack up against the Kimber .22 that the CMP is selling now?

I was planning on trying this sight with my H&R. I've also got an Olympic globe front for the front.

I'm also interested in how this thing will shoot with the Viani mount and a good scope.

You can shoot flies at 100 yards with this thing. It is accurate. Stock comb is reminiscent of a 2 x 8. I have 2, and they are great rifles. A wheeled bi-pod would be a useful accessory.

I have the Olympic on one and the Viani mount on the other with a 3x9 Redfield.
