BSA Martini - International Mark 1

I just acquired a rather nice BSA Martini - International Mark 1. Major flaws with the International Mark 1, someone inletted a sling swivel on the butt stock which was later removed and patched. The rifle lacks sights. I installed a target globe front sight that I had laying around which fits but may be too low. I improvised a rear sight by making an aluminum bracket and attaching an old Pacific micrometer aperture. I want to put better sights on the BSA. Parker Hale sights appear rare and too pricey. I am investigating using more available Redfield models. I would appreciate suggestions, advice, and hints on what has worked for others.

I have a few, but why bother with improvised sights. the sigh you need is the Parker Hale PH25, often seen on eBay U.K.

Wow, your collection is impressive. Can we have more detailed pictures, can you give us some info on the variations?

I would be remiss if I did not mention the fact that Redfield did make a mount for the BSA International. It simply replaces the side mounted rail for the original Parker Hale sight (in you case on the left side of the receiver......BSA also made true left hand Internationals ) The mount will accept any of their target sights, such as the Olympic, International, or Palma target sights. rapidfire10ring: Thank you for your responses and posting the photo of your impressive battery of .22 caliber Martinis. I did shop judiciously on ebay and was able to obtain Parker Hale sights for my BSA-International Mark 1. I do not have the correct Parker-Hale rear sight aperture, but, I am happy with U.S. made ones.

Nice rifle! I have a BSA Model 15 Centurian that is in need of a new stock, looks like it has been beat up like a fence post and someone scalloped the buttstock in the cheek weld area rather roughly. Has the flat rib and original BSA sights too.
