Gary and I left our house at 7am and got to the Grand Sierra in Reno by 8:30. I ran in with an SKS over my shoulder and a bag of Ammo in a bag. Got checked in at the door and ran down the hall to purchase our tickets. The line waiting to enter the show was almost to the casino floor!
Once inside the aisles were not as crowded as the line would have indicated. BUT, the lines at the ammo tables were ridiculous! From the tables halfway down the aisle toward the other room! Looked like about an hour's wait. We decided that the ammo we were looking for was not worth standing in that line.
We did manage to find a nice case for Gary's tricked out SKS. Saw a couple of carbines...only one of them on display was under $1000. Saw a couple of them walking around at $800.
We bailed out of there by 10:30am and headed home to relative sanity. Spent the rest of the day washing the car and raking up yard debris.
