different conversions and dedicated uppers use a variety of magazines.
My two military conversions use magazines that are not interchangeable.
One is an insert into an AR mag, the other is a complete mag. Both are 10 shot. The Ceiner conversion uses it's own mag system and come in several capacities. Don't know what Spikes uses.

The Spikes uppers use Black Dog Machine magazines. Black Dog makes a variety of 22-cal mags for several rifles, including M261 and Ceiner, but I'm not sure if the Mags they make for Spikes also work on the Ceiner.

All dedicated uppers start with a conversion kit in one format or another.
There are at least five different magazine formats out there, none of them interchangeable with each other:
1. Atchisson, Ceiner, Spike's, CMMG: Mags and kits still in production.
2. M261, Olympia: still being made at Oly.
3. USAF
4. Colt/DPMS.
5. CZ
