does anyone know if I can actually get one of these? Im trying to find one for my military regiments museum!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. where there <may> be one would be at the war museum in Ottawa .... IIRC there were only about a dozen or so of these things made as prototypes.

That's right! Maybe the small arms museum in Warminster, but I'll bet NO ONE's about to unhand one. I think there's one in the Citadel Hill museum in Halifax NS???

he just e-mail me today saying that he would like 300 pounds....is it worth it? (that includes shipping and handling)

I assume this is a DEWAT?

That converts to about $450 (Cdn) today....

Although I don't know anything about these, for a rare prototype, isn't that a real "steal"?

Am I missing something?

Either way it would be a good deal, even as a DEWAT considering how rare it is.
